Tractor Trailer Crash, Fuel Spill Jams Route 287

Traffic on Route 287 was delayed Wednesday morning, Oct. 25 for a crash involving a tractor trailer and two passenger cars in Morris County.

The crash happened on the northbound side in Hanover Township around 8:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said.

A Kia passenger vehicle, a Chevrolet passenger vehicle, and tractor trailer were all headed north when the Chevy collided with the tractor trailer near milepost 39, McNair said. The Kia was struck subsequently.

The NJDOT reported a fuel spill, too.

There were minor injuries reported. The crash remains under investigation and there was no further information available.
